Typhoons, flood must be seen as water resource not as disaster - LWUA | Business and Politics
Local Water Utilities Administration head Vicente “Vince” Revil says that there must be a paradigm shift when looking at typhoons and flooding in the country, which can be sources of water.
He suggests a system that catches rainwater and floods to be reused as water supply for the community. He adds that hundreds of billions of cubic meters of water are wasted every year in the Philippines which could have saved households a lot of money.
